Hadasu

Hadasu is a quiet village along the pacific ocean with less than 150 population of four districts. Every district faces to the ocean on the east, and surrounded by deep and sacred Kumano mountains on their back. Sun divinely rises from the horizon every morning, and the night of dark but full of stars wraps the sky in the evening.
The village hands down the history of a man, who is said to had come over across the ocean more than 2,200 years ago in order to find an eternal youth and longevity plant for the first emperor of China. We never know what it was but the residents have protected his tomb over the centuries.
A part of the world heritage Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route running through the village, and this village's nostalgic atmosphere chosen as location of the animation ""Nagi no asukara"", attract the people from all over the world even today.
