The Great Fireworks Festival in 2019
Experience the Kumano Grand Fireworks Festival which has been inherited more than 300 years.
The festival is held on 17th of August every year with about 10,000 of fireworks and it's counted as one of the best in Japan.
Such as famous Sanjakudama-Kaijojibaku (a firework ball of about 90 cm in diameter explodes on the floated steal boat on the sea by remote control) and Onigajo-Ojikake (spectacular set-fireworks which is set on Onigajo rock sea caves) fully utilize the location and make the audience ""feel"" the loud sounds and blast impacts.
The origin of the festival was much smaller event as of memorial service for the repose of soul, who died in the year, with burning lanterns by fireworks sparks.
