Tategasaki- (The volcanic rock formations)

"Tategasaki" is the gigantic art of volcanic rock formations with its name "the cape of shield". Countless towering rocks of over 80 m height, which were created by molten magma of a large volcanic activity over 14 million years ago, form a huge "shield" rising from the deep blue ocean. It is written on the first history book of Japan and is said that the place is where the first emperor Jimmu (神武) landed on the way to Yamato (大和) the place where he ended his travel. Shintoism history and geographical features make the site worth to visit.
The site is accessible through a trail and also by sailing tour on a small boat from which the travelers look up this breathtaking art of nature. This video, for the first time, shows the view from the sky with 360° VR.
